Elmer Carroll

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Elmer Carroll, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather at the age of 73. Born on May 7th, 1952, Elmer passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2025.
Elmer was a devoted family man who cherished his time with his wife, Donna. He found immense joy in playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
A man of simple pleasures. He spent many years creating lasting friendships with his co-workers at O’Neill and Son Fisheries. Elmer had a passion for the open road and the freedom of riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Whether cruising along scenic routes or embarking on adventurous road trips, Elmer loved nothing better than planning a road trip with Donna by his side.
Elmer is survived by his Wife, Donna Palmer of Baie Ste Anne, Son: Patrick (Monica) of Tabusintac, Grandchildren: Natasha (Kyle), Josh (Sam), Bailey, Austin, Sharlet and Lawrence, Great Grandchildren: Casey and Finnegan, Brothers: Michael Jimmo of Ottawa, Bernard Carroll of Ottawa, Edward Carroll (Maria) of Napan, Thomas Carroll (Rejeanne) of Edmonton, Sisters: Karen Martin (Arthur) of Hardwicke, Rosemay Manuel (Hilaire) of Baie Ste Anne, Sister’s in law: Jean Carroll and Catherine Carroll and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his Parents: James Carroll and Nathalie Robichaud, Brothers: James Carroll and Richard Carroll, Sister: Margaret Martin, Louise O’Neill, Beatrice Carroll and infant sister Michaelina, and Brother’s in law: Ade Martin and Melvin O’Neill.
Elmer will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 2pm to 4pm at the Baie Ste Anne Golden Age Club.
A special thank you to the staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff and Dr. Gerard Losier at Percy’s Place for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness they provided during Elmer’s final days. Your support brought peace to both him and our entire family, and we will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Percy’s Place in Elmer's memory.
