Richard "Rick" McGraw

Unfortunately, on Sunday August 6, 2023, around 11:00 PM, Rick passed away at his cherished home in Salmon Beach, NB due to complications from cancer treatments. He is survived by his wife, Claire DuBroy; his son Peter Shelaga (Ottawa); his parents, Hector and Jackie McGraw (Tracadie); his brother, Steph (Krista) and family (Ottawa); his brother, Andre (Amanda) and family (Ottawa); as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Rick, you would recognize him as the kind of person who always went out of his way to lend a helping hand. His wonderful sense of humor, love for life, and perpetual happiness were truly remarkable. Rick enjoyed tinkering on cars/trucks and other machinery. He really enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors but his favorite was cutting up the fallen trees on his property with his close friend Don MacGregor (Salmon Beach).
Born in Sudbury, Ontario Rick grew up in the Ottawa area before relocating to Bathurst, NB in 2011. He dedicated over 22 years of his life working for Canada Post and was know as the friendly mailman by all of his customers. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched.
There will be no visitation. The funeral will be celebrated at Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Saint-Joseph Church, in Tracadie, on Friday, August 18th, at 2 p.m.
