Alfred Savoie

Mr Alfred “Freddy” J. Savoie, 84 of Neguac passed away surrounded by his family at his residence on January 8th, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. Husband of Sandra Glaspy, he was born in Rivière-des-Caches on the 4th of May, 1938. He was the son of the late Doris Savoie and the late Clara Savoie and the step-son of the late Mathilde Haché-Breau (Savoie).

He is survived by his children: Donna Carpenter (Kevin) of Saint John, Karen Buckley Robichaud (Stéphane) of Moncton, Daniel Savoie (Brenda) of Neguac, Joanne Walton (Sean) of Martensville SK and Robert Savoie (Tammy) of Sackville; his grandchildren: Jason (Bree), Melissa, Caitlyn (Alex), Ashley (Justin), Chelsea (Luke), Megan, Conrad and Devon; nine great grandchildren; his loyal dog, Holly; a brother, Raymond (Colleen) of Saint-John; three sisters-in-law: Jeannette Leroy, Françoise (late Irvin) and Louise (late Emery), as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Irene Rousselle (Albert) and Melinda McGrath (Stanley); seven brothers: Joseph, Emile and Raymond all three of a young age, Irvin, Emery, Leandre (Leonida) and Lucien (Adela), as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws.
Alfred “Freddy” was a carpenter by trade and built many homes in the area.
Visitation and funeral will be held in the summer.

À sa résidence, le dimanche 8 janvier 2023, à l’âge de 84 ans, est décédé M. Alfred J. Savoie, époux de Sandra Glaspy. Il demeurait à Neguac. Né à Rivière-des-Caches le 4 mai 1938, il était fils de feu Doris Savoie, de feu Clara Savoie et beau-fils de feu Mathilde Haché-Breau (Savoie).

Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Donna Carpenter (Kevin) de St-Jean, Karen Buckley Robichaud (Stéphane) de Moncton, Daniel Savoie (Brenda) de Neguac, Joanne Walton (Sean) de Martensville SK et Robert Savoie (Tammy) de Sackville; ses petits-enfants : Jason (Bree), Melissa, Caitlyn (Alex), Ashley (Justin), Chelsea (Luke), Megan, Conrad et Devon; neuf arrière-petits-enfants; son petit chien, Holly; un frère, Raymond (Colleen) de St-Jean; trois belles-sœurs : Jeannette Leroy, Françoise (feu Irvin) et Louise (feu Emery), ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines.

Deux sœurs : Irene Rousselle (Albert) et Melinda McGrath (Stanley); sept frères : Joseph, Emile et Raymond tous trois en bas âge, Irvin, Emery, Leandre (Leonida) et Lucien (Adèla), ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

Les visites et les funérailles auront lieu à une date ultérieure.
