Léandre Savoie

Au Bobby’s Hospice de Saint-John, le dimanche 31 octobre 2021, à l’âge de 93 ans, est décédé M. Léandre Savoie, époux de feu Léonida Robichaud. Né le 4 avril 1928, il était fils de feu Doris Savoie et de feu Clara Savoie et beau-fils de  feu Mathilde Breau (Savoie).

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Donald Savoie, Jeanne Godwin (Roland), Claudette, Roger (Jacinthe), Clarence (Austin) et Gérard (Sheri Israel); ses petits-enfants : Rachelle (Jon), Brianna et Emilie (leur mère Natasha); deux frères : Raymond (Colleen) et Alfred (Sandra); son ami à quatre pattes, Titan, qu’il aimait tant, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines.

Deux sœurs : Irène Rousselle (feu Albert) et Mélinda McGrath (feu Stanley), ainsi que six frères : Joseph, Emile et Raymond tous trois en bas âge, Irvin (Françoise), Emery (Louise) et Lucien (feu Adèla), l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

M. Savoie à travaillé à Ocean Steel pour plus de 38 ans.

La famille recevra parents et amis à compter de midi, le jeudi 4 novembre, à la Maison Robichaud & Fils, 50, rue Otho, à Neguac. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Bernard de Neguac, le même jour, soit le jeudi 4 novembre, à 14h. Une preuve vaccinale complète et le port du masque seront obligatoires pour entrer au salon funéraire, ainsi que dans l’église. Nous demandons à tous ceux et celles qui désirent assister aux funérailles d’arriver 30 minutes à l’avance à l’église, afin de montrer les deux documents nécessaires aux bénévoles présents.
Heures de visites: le jeudi 4 novembre, de midi à 13h30.

Mr. Léandre Savoie passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB on October 31, 2021, at the age of 93. He was the husband of the late Leonida Robichaud. Born in Rivière-des-Caches on April 4, 1928 he was the son of the late Doris Savoie and the late Clara Savoie. He was the step-son of the late Mathilde Breau (Savoie).
He is survived by his children: Father Donald Savoie, Jeanne Godwin (Roland), Claudette, Roger (Jacinthe), Clarence (Austin) and Gérard (Sheri Israel); his grandchildren: Rachelle (Jon), Brianna and Emilie (their mother, Natasha); two brothers: Raymond (Colleen) and Alfred (Sandra); his four legged friend, Titan, who brought him much joy, as well as several brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Irene Rousselle (late Albert) and Melinda McGrath (late Stanley); six brothers: Joseph, Emile and Raymond all three of a young age, Irvin (Françoise), Emery (Louise) and Lucien (late Adela).
Mr. Savoie worked at Ocean Steel for over 38 years.
The family will receive relatives and friends at noon, on Thursday, November 4, at Robichaud & Son, 50 Otho Street, Neguac. The funeral will be held at Saint-Bernard church in Neguac, on the same day, Thursday, November 4, at 2 p.m. Full proof of vaccination and wearing of the mask will be required to enter the funeral home, as well as the church. We ask all those who wish to attend the funeral to arrive 30 minutes in advance at the church, in order to show the two necessary documents to the volunteers present.
Visiting hours: Thursday, November 4, from noon to 1:30 pm.
