Thérèse, Patrice (Doris), feu Albert, Robert (Marilyn), Louise (Normand) & Roger Jr. désirent vous annoncer que Dieu a vu leur mère bien-aimée, maman, se fatiguer, alors Il a enveloppé ses bras autour d’elle et l’a emportée à la maison pour être avec notre père (son mari) Roger Sr.

Nos parents ont partagé une vie pendant 60 ans.

Maman Brigitte, est née à Neguac,  le 20 avril 1931 et est décédée paisiblement le jeudi 7 janvier 2021, à l’âge de 89 ans. Elle était fille de feu Félicien Robichaud & feu Léontine Godin et la sœur de Patrice (Antoinette), feu Jean-Paul, Léon (Dorina), Cécile (Zepherin) et André (Bertha).

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de fin d’études secondaires, elle a enseigné à l’école du Cassie Road. Elle s’y rendait en calèche tirée à cheval. Elle a travaillé au magasin de tissus Chez Joséphine et aussi au Club Autoneige de Neguac.

Sa famille, ses amis et ses connaissances se souviendront d’elle avec tendresse pour sa générosité et sa compassion, ses compétences en courtepointes, son amour des animaux et surtout l’observation d’oiseaux. La lecture et la musique ont également été quelques-uns de ses passe-temps préférés. Maman restera également dans la mémoire de nombreux pêcheurs et chasseurs qui ont eu le plaisir de lui rendre visite chaque année pour obtenir leur permis.

C’était avec beaucoup de passion dans la cuisine que maman et ses frères préparaient une fois par année « le party d’anguilles » suivi par une bonne partie de cartes. 

Maman croyait fermement à aider n’importe qui, n’importe quand et n’importe où le besoin se faisait sentir. Sa famille était d’abord et avant tout dans sa vie et nous n’avons peut-être pas eu le meilleur de tout, mais nous avons certainement eu beaucoup d’amour, et surtout plusieurs festins. Tout le monde de près ou de loin peuvent témoigner de ses capacités de cuisine en particulier ses petits-enfants, qui étaient les premiers en ligne pour savourer de nombreuses gâteries au long des années. Que ce soit pour préparer, cuisiner ou manger, tout le monde avait sa préférence et elle cuisinait pour plaire.

Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses 10 petits-enfants, 16 arrière-petits-enfants et 3 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants.

Therese, Patrice (Doris), the late Albert, Robert (Marilyn), Louise (Normand) & Roger Jr. wanted to let you know that God saw their beloved mother, Brigitte getting tired so he wrapped his arms around her and took her home to be with our father, Roger, Sr (her husband).

Our parents shared a life for 60 years.

Maman was born in Neguac, N.B on April 20th, 1931, and passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2021 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Felicien Robichaud & Leontine Godin and a sister to Patrice (Antoinette), the late Jean-Paul, Leon (Dorina), Cecile (Zepherin) and Andre (Bertha).

After graduating from High School, she went on to teach school in Cassie Road where she would travel to and from by horse and wagon. She also worked at Chez Josephine’s fabric store and worked at the local Neguac Skidoo Club.

Family, friends and acquaintances will remember her fondly for her generosity and compassion. Reading and listening to music were some of her favourite past times. She enjoyed making quilts and also loved bird watching.

Maman will also be remembered by many fishermen and hunters who had the pleasure of visiting her yearly to get their licenses.

She never passed up the opportunity for a good game of cards. Close family members will remember the yearly eel party which she prepared with her brothers.

Maman was a firm believer in helping whenever and wherever needed. She did not have to be asked twice. Her family was first and foremost in her life and we may not have had the best of everything, but we sure had lots of love, laughter and last but not least, food, food and more food. Everyone near and far can attest to her cooking abilities especially her grandchildren who were her favourite taste testers and had the privilege of sampling her many treats over the years. When maman knew someone was coming to the house for a meal, that person would get their favourite dish or dessert.

She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Due to the current pandemic a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
