Melvin Grattan

Melvin Grattan passed away peacefully at the Tabusintac Nursing Home on July 27, 2020, at the age of 86.  Born on August 2, 1933 in Tabusintac, NB., he was the last surviving child of the late Alexander and Frances Grattan and predeceased by sister Clarissa, and brothers William, Patrick and Robert.

 Melvin is survived by his daughter, Marsha, and son Michael as well as grandsons Ali and Thomas.

 He worked for CFB Chatham as a draftsman for over twenty years and was a successful small business owner in Miramichi until his retirement in 2004.  He loved the outdoors enjoying salmon fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.  He was also a passionate golfer.

 There will be no visitation or services at this time.  He will be laid to rest at the Covedell, NB Cemetery. 

Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Tabusintac Nursing Home.  The family is grateful for the excellent and compassionate care provided to Melvin in his final years by the staff of the home.
